I founded Mosquito Shield in 2004 to address a need expressed by homeowners for
effective, affordable, mosquito control, provided by courteous professionals. Why? Because available mosquito control solutions, such as irrigation-like spray systems and homeowner-applied chemicals, can be prohibitively expensive, too messy, or simply too much work for most homeowners.
With Mosquito Shield, customers can rely on qualified service personnel who specialize only in mosquito behavior and control to apply the correct volume at each application, when it's needed (or when they want it), with the most exacting equipment available, all at an affordable price.
Mosquito Shield uses only bifenthrin-based solutions and garlic extracts in our environmentally-friendly, organic treatments with no overspray. Customers may use the treated area minutes after an application. And we always treat according to the instructions on the manufacturer's product. In fact, the risk from our organic treatments is far less than the risk of disease posed by the mosquitoes we spray for.
Since 2005 Mosquito Shield has refined its spray formula numerous times to gain the effectiveness homeowners demand. We continually upgrade applicators to stay on the leading edge of this technology. Our van fleet has doubled in size in two years. Our customer base and operating revenues have also doubled from 2005 to 2006. We are adding territory to our service area at a breakneck pace. We must be doing something right!
To what do I attribute our success? We believe in treating customers like family. Coming from a family with 45-years experience in the lawncare and landscaping business, I know that responding to customer needs and requests promptly is what will gain trust in Mosquito Shield. We treat customers' property like our own. We also understand that outstanding service and effectiveness are only part of the equation. For that reason we make every attempt to keep costs down. We have no sales people to pay and spend very little on advertising. As a result we can offer treatment plans to fit almost any budget.
